Showcase Jewellers Te Awamutu is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Sales/ Administration Assistant to join our close-knit team. This is a key role within our store, combining premium retail sales with essential administrative and operational responsibilities.
🕒 Position Details
Full-time position
Monday to Friday: 8.45am – 5.15pm
Alternate Saturdays: 9.15am – 12.45pm

💍 The Role
This is a senior position that requires confidence in both retail sales and administration. Your responsibilities will include:
Sales & Customer Service
- Serving customers across silver jewellery, watches, gold jewellery, gemstone jewellery, diamond and gemstone rings
- Providing knowledgeable advice and building long-term customer relationships
- Delivering exceptional in-store customer experiences
- Picking and packing online orders
Repairs & Systems
- Booking jewellery and watch repairs
- Managing repair jobs within Retail Edge programme
- Liaising with customers and the jeweller regarding repair updates
Accounts & Administration
- Running monthly customer accounts in Retail Edge
- Processing supplier payments in MYOB
- General office administration
- Supporting daily store operations
Marketing Support
- Creating EDMs using Canva templates
- Assisting with social media, promotional campaigns and store communications
💎 About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Preferably has previous retail sales experience (jewellery experience highly regarded)
- Is confident selling higher-value items such as diamond and gemstone rings
- Is organised and detail-oriented
- Has experience with Retail Edge and/or MYOB (preferred but not essential)
- Is comfortable with administrative systems and processes
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is confident using Canva or similar design tools
- Thrives in a small team environment
- Takes initiative and ownership of their role
